“ Always the highest quality and great service. We enjoy the casual atmosphere with upscale menu. ”
“ Family lives in Kodak- we visit often- and I gotta say... not the best place for foodies (I'm sorry I'm sorry but you know it's true). So we really had high hopes for The Appalachian and it did not disappoint!! We have been twice now and nice experience both times. Cocktails done very well and every plate we've tried we've been happy with. Maybe closer to a 4 in my world, but a FIVE in Sevier county! Thanks guys! ”
“ The restaurant is way out of the tourist area of Pigeon Forge and is farm to table. Reservations are a must! The food was impeccable and the ambiance is punctuated with interesting art pieces that mimic kaleidoscope images. The seating allows for the illusion of privacy, which is very nice. Great drink selection and the Smoky Old Fashion is a must! This was our second time eating here and will definitely make it a third time! The staff is very knowledgeable, warm and inviting, and possess the skills of knowing exactly when to stop and check in on you. ”
“ I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Appalachian Restaurant from start to finish. I made a reservation ahead of time and was seated promptly, which I really appreciated. When I sat down, I noticed they had printed "Happy Birthday" on the menu - such a sweet touch! Our server was fantastic, super attentive, and genuinely personable, which made the evening feel even more special. As for the food, everything was delicious. I had the lamb, and it was cooked perfectly - tender and full of flavor. The apple butter cake I had for dessert was hands down the best cake I've ever had. So rich and flavorful, it was the perfect birthday treat! The manager also stopped by to check on us, and he was just as cool and friendly as the rest of the staff. You could really tell they care about their guests. All in all, I had an amazing time, and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great meal and a memorable experience! ”
“ The service was amazing, so was the food, and ambiance. We got the chicken skins appetizer, along with the bone marrow, and then my wife got the duck entree while I got the hanger steak. Both were delicious. The hanger steak was my favorite bite of the meal. The atmosphere was a contemporary take on Appalachian culture. I loved the idea and the art. The chairs were not very comfortable, and the chicken skins were somewhat hard to eat. I would have preferred them be smaller bites, with more of the hot honey drizzled. But all in all an amazing experience. ”
“ The.Most.Recommended.Restuarant.in freaking all of Tennessee!? Yes, it's true. We came in here after a day at Dollywood which was super fun and we weren't ready for the great day to end. Well, this place just elevated our experience to another level. Lamb and Elk Filet were so delicious and they served us a complimentary corn bread that could have charged $50 for it was so yummy! Plus, their drinks are top notch. We would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend for an elevated dining experience in Gatlinburg/ Sevierville! ”
“ Second time eating here and it hasn't let us down yet. The ambiance definitely screams date night or high end business meeting. The service we recreceived was fantastic. Our waitress even provided the history of the ddowntown area which was really cool. We went all out and tried multiple things from frog legs (which were pretty filling), to bone marrow. The entire experience was great and the food was amazing. The only complaint I had was the $12 butter wasn't that great on my steak. ”
“ Came here for dinner and was blown away by the flavor profile Pros: - The pork belly, fisherman's stew, and shrimp & grits were seasoned very well - The trout was okay, the garnishes definitely made the dish more palatable - Very friendly and cognizant staff - The portion sizes for the apps were essentially the same as the main entrees - amazing - Parking is across the street in the public parking lot Cons: - Cornbread was okay ”
“ This place is just outside of Pigeon Forge and away from the touristy area. It's a clean and simple place that still feels upscale. The smell of wood smoke is a nice smell. I had the Elk Loin and Potato Cakes. My wife had the lamb chops. I'd never had elk before, and it was delicious. I had mushrooms added, too. The potato cakes don't sound like much, but they were fantastic. For dessert, we got the goat cheese cheesecake. It may not sound good to some, but it was awesome. I recommend it completely. The service was very good and pleasant. Do it! ”
